Congratulations on your selection for orders to Fleet Readiness Center West!

This page will assist you and your family as you prepare your transfer to Fleet Readiness Center West. Travel and check-in procedures are detailed below, while we have some useful links and documents on the right. The Newcomers' Guide & Telephone Directory that you will recieve in your welcome aboard package has a lot of great information on the facilities and services provided by the base.

If arriving by auto, the Air Station is located on Highway 198, nineteen miles east of Interstate 5 or thirty miles west of Highway 99. Both highways provide easy access. The following Routes are recommended:

Arriving from the South: take State Route 99 north to Visalia, then west on State Route 198 to NAS Lemoore.
Arriving from the North: take Interstate 5 South to State Route 198, then east to NAS Lemoore.

If you arrive by plane, you will be landing in Fresno, California at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. From the airport you will be required to complete the final 45-mile leg of your journey using ground transportation. You have at least three options:

(1) The base duty driver can provide transportation at no cost to and from NAS Lemoore on TAD or PCS orders. As a courtesy it is asked you call a day early to schedule your pickup, but it is not required. They can be reached at (559) 707-9402.
(2) Select taxi companies offer a flat rate for tranport to NAS Lemoore. The information desk at the airport can call them for you. Ensure you are being charged a flat rate and get a reciept! As a travel expense it will be refunded when you are processed through PSD.
(3) Contact your sponsor!

If you have any questions about your transit from the airport to NAS Lemoore, call the NAS Lemoore Combined Bachelor Housing Office (CBH) at commercial (559) 998-7014 or DSN 949-7014 or the FRC West Duty Office at (559) 998-1672 or DSN 949-1672.

You are required to have your orders stamped when you arrive in Lemoore. A delay or failure to do so could result in you being charged extra leave. During working hours, report to Manpower located at building 180 on OPs side inside the Admin Office. If reporting after hours the FRCW Duty Office is located on the first floor of building 160. The CBH has a schedule of the OPs side bus, and after hours you may request the command duty driver to take you to building 160. Contact the Duty Office at (559) 998-1672 for the duty driver or assistance.

Please contact your sponsor as soon as possible. His/her task is to help you make the transition as smooth as possible. If you have not recieved contact from your sponsor or have lost their information, please contact the Sponsor Coordinator. To help acquaint you with Lemoore, please contact your local Family Service Center. They will print a copy of Lemoore's SITES (Standard Information Transfer Exchange Service) package, which contains information concerning the Air Station and surrounding community.
