Senate Bill 71 authorized the construction of a memorial to honor Kansas’ firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty in Kansas. The bill was signed on March 12, 2001. It was the culmination of work that spanned three years.
A scaled replica of the memorial can be viewed at our office.
