2014 Top 10 Court Website July, 2014 --
FACT was proud to announce the 2014 winners of the annual Top 10 Court
Websites
Award during the annual NACM conference last week in Scottsdale,
Arizona. A panel of 5 judges scored nominees based on 5
categories with specific features/functions defining each category.

2012 Top 10 Court Website
November, 2012 -- The Forum on the Advancement of Court Technology (FACT) announced this year’s winners of the Top Ten Court Websites Award during the NACM Annual Conference in Orlando. The Connecticut Judicial Branch was recognized for being among the 2012 Top 10 Court Websites. FACT appreciates and recognizes the Connecticut Judicial Branch's commitment to electronic public access and services for constituents.
Award winners are selected from a review of nominated national and international websites and judged on criteria such as 508 compliance, access to public records, access to justice, and number of available eServices, among others.

Connecticut Judicial Branch Law Libraries website July, 2006 -- "In this our eighth year of judging, we reviewed over 3,500 court
websites to recognize the best court online offerings in the world. The new
winners are a diverse selection of large and small courts handling a wide
variety of case types, and our first law library makes the list... This law
library site is worthy of separate honor as best in its class."

2005 World’s Top 10 Court-related Websites
September, 2005 -- The Connecticut Judicial Branch website has been recognized
as one of the top-ten court-related websites in the world. In a recent
competition including entries from the United States, Canada, Ireland and
Australia, among others, the Connecticut website placed tenth. The
competition was part of September’s National Courts Technology Conference
(CTC) in Seattle, Washington, hosted by the National Center for State Courts
(NCSC). The competition was formidable. Connecticut was up against court
related websites from around the world, many from jurisdictions with larger
populations and significantly more court resources.

2004
Top Five Website in Government-to-Citizen Category
October, 2004 -- The Center for Digital Government is
pleased to announce that the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s website is among
the recipients of the distinguished 2004 Digital Achievements Awards (DGAA).
More specifically, the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s website has been named
as one of the top five websites in the category of government-to-citizen.
The awards program recognizes outstanding agency and
department websites and applications that enhance interactions, transaction
and/or services – in four categories: government-to-government,
government-to-citizen, government-to-business, and government internal.
The DGAA is produced in conjunction with the Center’s
annual Best of the Web (BOW) contest. BOW recognizes the most innovative,
user friendly state and local government portals, while the DGAA spotlights
some of the nation’s most creative, advanced government Web sites’
applications. The Center received more than 300 combined entries for the
awards programs.
"As a judge of the Best of the Web for all of its nine
years and a judge for this inaugural 2004 Digital Government Achievement
Awards, I have a true appreciation for these government organizations and
the professionals behind the scenes who built these incredibly
sophisticated, creative and effective sites," said Cathilea Robinett,
executive director of the Center. "It is a pleasure to honor all of them
with these awards."
The Center for Digital Government is a national
research and advisory institute on information technology policies and best
practices in state and local government. The Center is a business division
of e.Republic, which publishes Government Technology magazine and Public
CIO.
National Center for State Courts (NCSC)
2003 Top Ten Best Court Websites
October, 2003 -- The Connecticut Judicial Branch website was selected as one of the ten best court websites in the United States and Canada by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) at its Court Technology Conference (CTC), the world's only conference dedicated exclusively to court technology. Forty courts entered the competition, held in Kansas City, Missouri.
National College of Probate Judges
Top 10 Probate Court websites
April 14, 2003 -- The Connecticut Judicial Branch Website has been named one
of the Top 10 probate court websites in the country, according to the Hon.
John N. Kirkendall, a Probate Judge of the Washtenaw (MI) County Trial Court
and a member of the Executive Committee of the National College of Probate
Judges.
Justice Served 2000 Top Ten Award
January, 2000 -- Justice Served is an alliance of court management and
justice experts providing management services, consultation and training to
courts, justice agencies and their partners in technology, with particular
emphasis on aiding courts in the migration of court services to the World
Wide Web. The Top Ten Award is given out twice each year. In January, 2000,
Justice Served examined over 300 sites to select the ones with the most
outstanding features and functionality. The Connecticut Judicial Branch
website was ranked in the top ten of all 300 sites examined.

-- The Sixth National Court Technology Conference, of The National Center
for State Courts has announced the winners of their Top Ten Court Website
Competition for 1999. "This competition will identify court sites that
provide leadership and service to the public." The Connecticut Judicial
Branch was ranked in the top ten of all Court websites on the internet.
