21st Century Librarian Program Recruitment
Goals
Recognize and recruit prospective youth from a variety of Nebraska communities and from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to pursue education in library studies and seek employment in Nebraska libraries.
Volunteer mentors can recruit potential librarians and library students to mentor by attending career fairs and presenting the recruitment Public Service Announcement (PSA) and other informational materials.
Find out about NLC's Recruitment Grants, : Cultivating Rural Librarians' Technology Skills and Recruiting the Next Generation of Nebraska Librarians @ the Movies, funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) 21st Century Librarian program.
Request a recruitment kit for a career fair or event. Kits include:
- Flyers describing Library Education Opportunities in Nebraska
- Flyers about the Nebraska Library Commission 21st Century Librarian Internships, and Website
- a DVD of the Recruitment PSA
