Non-ticketed and Group Friendly
Twilight Tattoo is a free event, no tickets are required. All are welcomed to attend and enjoy our program. Whether you're an individual, a family, or a group, please feel free to join us for a fun-filled evening with your United States Army. Weather
A weather decision will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the Tattoo. Please call the MDW Events Line 202-685-2888 for the official weather decision.
Seating
Bleacher seating is available on first-come, first-served basis. Grass seating is also available and we recommend you bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
Photography
Twilight Tattoo offers ample opportunities for still photographers and videographers. Patrons are welcome to photograph our Soldiers before, during and after performances.
Pets
No pets are allowed.
Meeting the Soldiers
Some of the performers will be there to greet audience members as they arrive, all will be available at the conclusion of the Tattoo to answer any questions and pose for photographs.

Pedestrian access for non-DoD ID holders:
All adults will need to provide valid identification to enter.
Pedestrians may access Fort Myer at Henry Gate, which is at the intersection of N. Pershing Drive and Arlington Boulevard (Highway 50), or through Hatfield Gate at 2nd Street S and S Washington Boulevard.
If taking the metro, the total distance from Courthouse Metro to performance location is 9/10 of a mile.
For those unable to walk that distance, taking a taxi service from Courthouse Metro to the intersection of N. Pershing Drive and Arlington Boulevard will reduce the walk to less than 1/10 of a mile, or one block.
There is also local Arlington Transit (ART route 45) bus that drops off at N. Pershing Drive and N. Barton Street for a 3/10 of a mile walk to the performance. Bus route information can be found here http://www.arlingtontransit.com/pages/routes/art-45/
Walking Instructions:
Exit at Courthouse Metro.
Walk south on the right side of N Courthouse Road for three blocks to Arlington Blvd.
Stay to the right, walking along the bike path adjacent to Arlington Boulevard. Follow the bike bath under the overpass at 10th Street N. Follow the crosswalk and go left at the sidewalk to continue walking south along Arlington Boulevard.
The sidewalk will turn back into a bike path. Continue for one more block.
At N. Pershing Drive, cross the street to the left to enter Henry Gate. (This gate will only be open to pedestrians)
Once on base, walk straight for one block, cross the street and enter the performance area through the checkpoint on the right.

DIRECTIONS TO JOINT BASE MYER-HENDERSON HALL: Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., is located across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery.
The gate to enter Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall for Twilight Tattoo is:
- Hatfield Gate on Washington Blvd. at South 2nd Street -- Main gate, open at all times. The address for Hatfield Gate is 2nd St. S, Fort Myer, VA, 22211.
FROM THE SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 95:
Inside the Capital Beltway, 1-95 becomes 1-395. Proceed north toward Washington. Take Exit 8A (7 miles inside the Beltway), marked "Washington Blvd., Route 27." Bear left on the ramp, following the signs. Exit Washington Blvd. to the right at the exit marked "Fort Myer Only."
FROM THE WEST ON INTERSTATE 66:
Proceed on 1-66 inside the Capital Beltway. Take exit 64A "Route 495." Exit onto Route 50. Exit Route 50 onto 2nd St. S., continue to Fort Myer's Hatfield Gate.
FROM THE NORTH ON THE CAPITAL BELTWAY (I-495):
From I-495, take exit 43-44 for VA-193/George Washington Memorial Parkway/Georgetown Pike toward Great Falls Virginia/Langley/Washington. Take exit 43 for George Washington Memorial Parkway toward Washington. Merge onto George Washington Memorial Parkway. Take the exit toward 1-395 N/Lyndon B. Johnson/Memorial Grove/Pentagon. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for I-395 S and merge onto S. Washington Blvd/Route 27. Merge onto S. Washington Blvd., then take the exit toward Fort Myer's Hatfield Gate.
FROM D.C.:
Take 1-395 out of the city and into Virginia. Pass the Pentagon and take Exit 8A for Washington Blvd. Proceed on Washington Blvd and take exit marked "Fort Myer Only" on the right.
