Component Mismatch Assignments

All military personnel identified for assignment as Cadre to a Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) are assigned against an authorized position corresponding to their service component. This is reflected in the WTU’s Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA).
WTUs must submit a component (COMPO) mismatch request memorandum to the Regional Medical Command (RMC) for review and routing to the WCT G-1 (usarmy.pentagon.medcom-WCT.list.g1-hrab@mail.mil ). The COMPO mismatch request memorandum should include details on the authorized position that cannot be filled (unit designation, UIC, position title, para, line, component, grade, branch and AOC/MOS), the proposed substitute to fill the position (name, component, grade, branch, AOC/MOS and start date), the justification for the mismatch (qualifying Soldier not available, no applicants for the position, etc.) and the POC for the request (name, rank, phone and email).
Following receipt of the COMPO mismatch request, WCT G-1 will notify and request the corresponding component force provider (CFP) of concurrence or non-concurrence via writing. The following CFPs are listed below:

The corresponding CFP will review the COMPO mismatch request within approximately five working days and send the concurrence or non-concurrence response to WCT G1, who will coordinate with the WCT Deputy Chief of Staff for final approval or disapproval. The WCT Deputy Chief of Staff is the sole approval authority for COMPO mismatch assignment requests. “By Name Request” assignments are not authorized without the Deputy Chief of Staff's written approval. Following the decision, a written notification of approval or disapproval will be issued to the originating office. Service member packets should be processed for assignment after the Deputy Chief of Staff's approval.
