Hire Our Soldiers and Veterans

While a large percentage of our wounded, ill and injured service members return to active duty, many separate from service and look forward to contributing as productive members of the civilian workforce. These Veterans, who have benefited from comprehensive training during their military service, possess a wide variety of skills and experiences that can serve as a great asset to both Federal and private agencies. You can support our honorable Soldiers and Veterans by considering them when hiring for your next open position.

Despite their injuries, many wounded warriors embrace their abilities and tackle accomplishments that the most able-bodied would not attempt. Some have won Paralympic medals, completed triathlons and marathons, and climbed the world's tallest mountains. With minor accommodations, they usually adapt to the requirements of most jobs. Qualities of a wounded warrior include:

  • Strong leadership qualities and personal integrity
  • Hands on experience with technology and globalization
  • Strong sense of health, safety, and property standards
  • Respect for procedures and accountability
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing environments
  • Diversity
  • Triumph over adversity
