State Official's Purchasing Procedures and Purchasing Card Training

In 2014, the West Virginia Legislature amended state purchasing regulations by passing Senate Bill 356. The legislation called for a mandatory training program for all high-level state government officials on state purchasing procedures and the Purchasing Card Program.

Subsidies to Assist Volunteer Fire Departments

The Volunteer Fire Department Workers' Compensation Premium Subsidy Program, adopted by the legislature and signed into law by Acting Governor Tomblin, brings needed assistance to VFDs throughout West Virginia. This program subsidizes upcoming premium rate increases for Classification Code 7711 firefighters and drivers.
