Are you having issues logging in with a Common Access Card?
It has been brought to JCISFA's attention that some of our users are having issues logging in to the site with a Common Access Card. Generally the user will get a message like the indicated screenshot.
The 0 in the top left hand corner indicates that the site has had issues processing your CAC Data, in otherwords it could not read your CAC Card. This is more than likely caused by an improper CACHE in conjunction with a certificate issue. The easiest fix for this is to clear your history in Internet Explorer. This should fix the issue. Sometimes you may also have to restart the machine. Additionally, you may have to ensure that you are using Internet Explorer as opposed to Microsoft Edge. Should you have further issues, please contact us.
Logging in with a Username/Password:
At this time this site does allow the use of username/password for our site users. In order to use a username/password you must be a valid member and be unable to use CAC (Common Access Card) authentication.
To login with a username/password complete the following steps:
- Click the [Login to site] link in the header or Login button, located on the home page.
- Enter your username/password in the provided text boxes. Please keep in mind your password is stored in a non-reversible encrypted form. JCISFA staff cannot recover your password, we can only reset it.
- Click the login button.
- The system will then prompt you to answer your security questions.
- Once they have been answered you will be logged in to the system.
Logging in with a Common Access Card/Smart Card:
Click on the Login button on the left hand side or at the top of the page. Once you have clicked these it will generate a popup. Agree to the terms and then click the CAC authentication. Our site will then login you via a CAC certificate.
If you have never used the system to CAC the page will prompt you to enter your existing email and some other factors to change your authentication method on the site.
