Course Title: Assessment Questionnaires

Course Description: This training, led by two Industrial Organizational Psychologists, begins by discussing the benefits and challenges to assessment questionnaires (AQs) and methods to maximize the effectiveness of AQs. Next, the trainers walk through the steps for development of AQs including: reviewing job analysis information, writing specialized experience statements, identifying competencies, writing rating and ranking questions, and selecting rating scales. Finally, the trainers discuss implementation considerations including AQ scoring, verification and warning statements, and evaluating the effectiveness of the AQ. Throughout the discussion of AQ development, participants engage in exercises to apply best practices outlined in the workshop and facilitate their understanding of AQ development.

Location: The workshop is delivered to a group of employees at an agency, per agency request.
