PD Support Munitions
Product Director Support Munitions develops and manages demolition and pyrotechnic capabilities that support increased Soldier communication, maneuverability, and safety.
Demolitions provide a rapid means to ensure free movement and maneuver of friendly forces and to impede enemy movements and are used primarily by combat engineers and special operations Soldiers to clear mines, breach doors, and overcome obstacles.
Pyrotechnics range from flares to signals to simulators, providing important capabilities to the Soldier, such as communication, illumination, and protection against advanced air-to-air and surface-to-air weapon systems. Simulators are used in training to simulate realistic combat environments; signals are used for signaling for communication or illuminating a small area and can reach heights of up to 250 meters.
