ISS-RapidScat saw Joalane's strongest winds (red) on April 7 from 23:19 to 00:52 and April 8 from 10:07 to 11:40 UTC as they consolidated around the eye.

ropical Cyclone Nathan made landfall in eastern Queensland, Australia's Cape York Peninsula and was moving west across it when NASA's Aqua satellite passed overhead. The RapidScat instrument revealed that Nathan's strongest winds were south of the center before its landfall.

At 10 a.m. EDT, Bavi was centered near 13.5 north and 143.8 east, just 6 nautical miles west of Guam. It was moving westward at 19 knots.

Tropical Cyclone Nathan has moved east and away from Queensland's Cape York Peninsula and out into the Coral Sea. NASA's RapidScat instrument provided a look at winds while NASA-NOAA's Suomi NPP Satellite showed the entire storm away from the coast.

Tropical Storm Haliba appeared to be the "filling" in a sandwich between the Southern Indian Ocean islands of La Reunion and Mauritius in NASA satellite imagery because wind shear pushed the bulk of the storm's clouds between the islands.
