The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides species lists for actions authorized, funded or carried out by federal agencies. The species list fulfills our requirement, under section 7(c) of the Endangered Species Act, to provide a list of threatened and endangered species upon request for federal actions and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance.
Information, Planning, and Conservation (IPaC)
IPaC is a new conservation planning tool for streamlining the environmental review process. The system provides you - our partners - with the ability to explore the landscape and helps you to site your projects in a way that minimizes conflicts with natural resources.
With IPaC's landscape explorer tool, you can view designated critical habitat, wetlands, GAP land cover, and other nature resource map layers.

Instructions for Obtaining Lists Through IPaC
1. Go to the IPaC website
2. Press "Get Started" and follow the steps to identify your project location and get a list of protected resources.
