ONE HOUR.

Explore the Capitol and the Capitol Grounds through self-guided brochures. You can also look for signage throughout the Capitol to access our mobile tour. Explore the pages of this website such as the Capitol Significant Spaces Gallery or listen to the five minute Capitol Audio Tour.

TWO TO THREE HOURS.

Orient yourself to the Capitol Complex through exhibits, film and information at the Visitors Center. Participate in a free guided tour of the Capitol. Discover the natural beauty of the Capitol Grounds. Buy a souvenir at the Gift Shop in the Capitol Extension or the Visitors Center.

HALF-A-DAY.

Experience the Visitors Center, Capitol tour and Grounds before journeying three blocks to the Bullock Museum. The Museum tells the unfolding story of Texas through dynamic exhibits and films. As you work up an appetite, eat at either the Capitol Grill or the Museum Café.

FULL DAY.

Immerse yourself in the story of Texas through the exhibits at the Bullock Museum and take in an IMAX® or 4-D film . After enjoying lunch at the Museum Café, participate in a tour of the Capitol. Explore the Grounds and Visitors Center. Experience a tour of the Governor's Mansion, home to every Texas Governor since 1856. Take a short drive to the Texas State Cemetery and view the final resting place of legendary Texans including Stephen F. Austin and Barbara Jordan. Remember your visit by purchasing a souvenir at the Gift Shop located at the Museum, Capitol or Visitors Center.
