The Division of Industrial Safety and Health is excited to begin recognizing safety conscience employers and employees in the public sector. The SHAPE (Safety and Health Award for Public Employees) program is designed for those public sector entities whose employees have not had a lost-time accident for a specific number of consecutive days.

Public Employer Services
If you are a public service employee in any of the following organizations: City, County, State, USD, University, Community College, Water District, or any other public municipality, the Division of Industrial Safety and Health has services available for you.

Amusement park ride regulations
The Industrial Safety and Health (ISH) division of KDOL audits the records of the amusement rides ensuring they have been inspected by a National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO) certified inspector and they have safety postings, operator training records, etc.
