Support and payments

In Idaho, an order provides an agreement between two parents on how best to care for their child. Child Support Services helps make sure the provisions described in the order are followed. Standard Idaho orders include the following:
  • The legal father and mother for each child
  • Financial or medical support requirements for each child
  • A requirement for Child Support Services to receive and distribute payments
  • A judge's signature validating the order
Individuals make payments toward their support obligations through a variety of methods. If a parent is ordered to pay support in multiple orders, payment is applied first to current support due, next to past-due balances owed to another parent, and lastly, applied to any legal fees owed to Idaho (or another state).

Individuals can view payment and case history through MyChildSupport. All you need is an email address and Social Security Number to create an account.
