About Alcohol Research: Current Reviews

Alcohol Research: Current Reviews is the peer-reviewed journal of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

Each issue of Alcohol Research: Current Reviews presents an in-depth review of an important area of alcohol research. Topics cover a wide range of disciplines in the biomedical and social sciences. An Editorial Advisory Board meets annually to propose upcoming issue themes and to identify leaders in the field who are invited to contribute articles. Editorial Advisory Board members also serve as Scientific Review Editors for each issue.

Alcohol Research: Current Reviews is committed to publishing only the most informative, accurate, and impartial information possible from the field of alcohol research. We hold authors accountable for the articles submitted to the journal and require authors to declare any potentially competing financial interests that might be construed as influencing the results or interpretations of a reported study.
Readers should note that disclosure of a competing financial interest does not imply that the information in the article is questionable or that conclusions are biased. Note too that Alcohol Research: Current Reviews is not in the position to verify the accuracy of disclosure statements made by authors. We rely instead on authors to provide complete and accurate information. This information then is provided at the end of each article for the scrutiny of our readers.
