Seed Program
The Nebraska Seed Law (81-2147.06) states the Department of Agriculture shall sample, inspect, and test all agricultural, vegetable, and flower seed offered for sale for sowing purposes as may deem necessary to determine whether such seed products are in compliance with the Nebraska Seed Law and Regulations labeling requirements and to notify promptly the persons who sold the seed of any mislabeling violation.
The official samples shall be submitted for testing to the Nebraska Crop Improvement Association (NCIA) laboratory facilities located at 268 Plant Science Hall, Lincoln, NE 68583.
