The Oklahoma Water Resources Board is the only agency of state government devoted solely to the task of managing, protecting, and improving the water resources of Oklahoma to ensure safe, clean, healthy and reliable water supplies, a strong economy, and a healthy environment. We allocate water permits for stream water and groundwater; provide financing for water and wastewater projects; monitor, study, and write standards for the state’s lakes, streams, and groundwaters; oversee the state’s well driller and pump installer licensing program; coordinate the state’s floodplain management and dam safety programs; and provide comprehensive planning for the state’s water future.

The OWRB provides a variety of water resource career opportunities. OWRB staff include the following:
