Highly skilled New Americans come to New York State with credentials earned after extensive schooling and years of experience. Yet, they experience difficulty finding gainful employment in their selected profession because they are unaware how they can have their degree or credential recognized in the U.S.

The New York State Office for New Americans strives to work with our sister State agencies to ease the process towards gaining a professional credential while maintaining our State’s professional regulation record as a model for public protection.
