Mission

The Military Personnel Division's mission is to ensure the full spectrum of military human resources and finance programs, services and systems are professionally executed to support the readiness, mission and well-being of all Organizations and Soldiers (Active, Reserve and Guard) assigned or attached to Rock Island Arsenal.

The Military Personnel Division exercises centralized authority for the planning and execution of all active duty, reserve and National Guard military personnel management programs, and provides guidance, technical assistance, and support for all military personnel management plans and programs for the RIA. In addition, the Division initiates or revises all programs required to implement RIA, HRC, DoD, and service personnel policies, such as promotions, personnel requisitions, military training, school quotas, evaluation reports, and other military personnel actions/requests, and has jurisdiction over all military services.
