In-Processing

Welcome to the US Army Garrison (USAG) - Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). The following information will assist all newly assigned personnel in accomplishing a smooth integration into the installation.

SOLDIERS

ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL DOES NOT HAVE A CENTRALIZED RECEPTION CENTER
Unit In-processing Checklists and instructions for in-processing will be obtained from your unit S1 upon arrival.
Installation In-processing Checklists will be obtained from the Military Personnel Division (MPD), USAG-RIA.

***IMPORTANT***

The MPD will execute the iPERMS Personnel and Finance Record Review during your in-processing and upon arrival.

The following documents are required when in-processing the MPD:

  • 3 copies of orders to include amendments
  • DA Form 31 (must have appropriate signatures)
  • Copy of latest Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)
  • If applicable, all appropriate dependency determination documents (i.e. Marriage/Birth Certificate(s), Guardianship/Court Documents, etc)

CIVILIANS

All employees who have relocated from another government installation to the Rock Island Arsenal should meet with the Benefits Advisor and the Permanent Change of Station Officer in the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center located in Building 102, 2nd Floor, SW Wing. Phone 309-782-1852, DSN 793-1852

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS: DO NOT FORGET to have the following relevant documents with you while moving: several copies of your PCS orders, official birth certificates, immunization records, school transcripts, medical/dental records, wills, power of attorney, marriage license, divorce decree, adoption decree, naturalization papers, social security cards, car title and shipping papers (if coming from overseas), car insurance policy information, driver's license, car registration, household goods shipping inventory, employment records and references, and pet records.
