SSP Activities in BASIS+: Managing Project Information

All Science Support Partnership activities are recorded and managed by USGS through a headquarters BASIS+ project, 3210APN.  This number will be the same each year.  Under this project, each Science Center is assigned a task number, with each individual SSP activity as a Subtask.  Subtasks are designated in Reston and these numbers are passed to the PIs and AOs when funding is dispersed.  PIs and AOs will be automatically assigned as Subtask Leaders in BASIS+.  Additional Subtask Leaders may then be added by the PI or AO, or if you inform the National Staff at the time a study plan is submitted we will gladly add others for you.  PIs are responsible for populating the narrative sections of their Subtask, In addition to each Science Center, there are unique Tasks for the Coop Unit Program, Water Resources Discipline, and Geologic Discipline.
