Features & Bug Fixes in betaDataFerrett
DataFerrett now interleaves ACS 5-year Summary File Margin of Error (MOE) variables with estimate variables during extractions/tabulations. Previously, the MOE variables were displayed in the variable selection list and should have been part of the output, similar to how data flags work.
Users will now always get a GEOID variable included in their ACS 5-year SF extractions, and the extraction file is sorted on that variable.
Previously, maps did not work correctly when variances were displayed but worked when the variances were hidden. Now maps can be created while variances are displayed, but be aware that the map is being created based on the estimates and not the variances.
The user will still be able to turn on the Auto totalling in the DataFerrett tabulation window (Options menu), but the default for aggregate datasets will be OFF.
The calculations for summed estimate variables now work.
The calculations for summed estimates variances now work.
Previously, the multi-variable recode of aggregate data did not work if you added (summed) more than two variables. Two variables added (summed) worked fine, but then three or more were summed, the user would receive an error message when trying to tabulate.
When the user would place a series of variables in the columns and then try to create a formula (sum) in the next available column, the last column (immediately to the left of the formula column) would get overwritten with the data from the formula column.
When the user would attempt to create a PDF, an error message would pop up and/or the PDF would be reported corrupt and would not open.
