Specter To Hold August Town Hall Meetings Throughout the Commonwealth

Monday, August 25, 2008 -
U.S. Senator Arlen Specter will visit many regions of Pennsylvania during the U.S. Senate’s August recess. His visits will include Open House Town Meetings in which constituents are invited to discuss issues important to the region, the state, and the nation. Senator Specter will address the audience briefly and devote the remainder of the hour to responding to residents’ questions and concerns.

“I make it a point to cover all of the 67 counties and will be having town meetings during the August recess,” Specter said. “I plan to spend the bulk of the town hall meeting taking questions from constituents to find out what is on people’s minds and to bring people up to date on what is going on in Washington. I find it indispensible to stay in close touch with the people of Pennsylvania in order to do as good a job as possible in representing them.”
