US Highway 212 / Beartooth Highway (Red Lodge-Cooke City Highway)


This site contains preliminary information on a proposal to reconstruct the portion of the Beartooth Highway (US-212) from Clay Butte (MP 24.5) to the Montana state line (MP 43.1).  The Beartooth Highway provides access from the Silver Gate entrance of Yellowstone National Park to Red Lodge, Montana.  The portion of the route covered by this 18.6 mile proposal is entirely within the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming (see Segment 4 in the line map).
