Parcels/Cadastral
Land records are maintained by the various landholders within Alaska, including federal and state governments and tribal organizations. Local governments also maintain cadastral information for property ownership within their jurisdictions. The Alaska Cadastral Initiative, supported by the Alaska DNR and the BLM, is working to create an accurate statewide land parcel dataset that is maintained over time. This effort has partially integrated data from various state, federal, and local government sources. Additional efforts are underway to complete this dataset and develop procedures for updating the dataset over time.
