Reported Issues and Suggestions for Release 4.0a

This version was released in October 2006.

Reported Issues and Suggestions for Release 4.0

  • Changing the values on the main water quality screen to zero after initial positive values have been entered may cause the program to become unstable and, in severe cases, can require the program to be uninstalled and reinstalled to clear the error.
  • It has been noted that the default cost values are outdated. The team acknowledges this and will correct the problem in the near future. However, it should noted that AMDTreat is not a magic black box that produces cost estimates with no effort by the user. The Team always intended that the user would refine the initial cost estimate with site specific values. Toward that end, AMDTreat allows the user to permanently change the program's defaults to reflect current and regionally relevant costs and other values by using the Defaults menu (Global Defaults and the individual module Defaults).
  • Some instances have been reported where Help sections will not print. The team is looking into this issue.
  • The Export button on the Defaults screen crashes the program. (Corrected)
  • The Oxidant capital cost screen is misnamed. (Corrected)
  • The amount of Oxidants /yr reported on the Oxidant Chemical Cost screen does not match that reported on the Oxidant Capital Cost screen. The Development Team has not been able to duplicate this error; therefore, no fix is anticipated.
  • The "Opening Screen Parameters" checkbox should be checked by default to insure that changes to the main water quality screen are dynamically updated to the individual cost modules. The user could then uncheck the box if he wanted changes in water parameters on individual modules to remain unchanged. (Corrected)
  • The PERT tool reports erroneous values for Standard Deviation. This occurred on the first released CD, but is fixed on the web download and on newer versions of the CD. (Corrected)
  • Help is not complete for some of the new features. It will be completed and released in the near future.
  • On the Sludge module the mobilization cost blocks need to allow input of larger numbers. (Corrected)

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.2

No identified bugs.

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.1.c

In the Financial Forecasting module when the rate of return is greater than 0, the program is providing erroneous results. A new release of AMDTreat (v3.1d) , that corrects this error, will be provided in the near future. This error exists in all previous versions of the software.

Problems persist in the Mass Balance Equation tool. First, the tool will only work with two net acid waters. Using the tool to mix alkaline and acid water will produce a zero result. Second, there are errors in the pounds per day and the pounds per year results provided on the screen. To correct these errors, the pounds per day results should be multiplied by ten and the pounds per year results should be divided by 10. These errors will be corrected in the next release. These errors exist in all previous versions of the software. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.1.b

The Mass Balance Calculator Tool has a multiply error and is miscalculating pounds per year by a factor of 10. The answer should be divided by 10 to obtain the correct result. This error exists in this and all previous versions of the software. It will be corrected in the next release.

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.1.a

Saved files from older versions are not compatible with this version of AMDTreat. This problem is new to version 3.1a and is corrected in version 3.1b.

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.1

The VFP report does not print correctly on some printers. This error is due to the large size of the VFP screen. On some printers, this problem can be corrected by reducing the size of the margins in the printer setup. No other fix to this problem is anticipated.

The Save function does not save values from the Hydrated Lime, OLC, and Engineering modules; nor does it save values from the financial tools. This error exists in all previous versions of the software.

Reported Issues and Suggestions with Release 3.0

Input of very high numbers into the water quality and quantity screen can, under certain circumstances, crash the application database. Repair of this problem requires the user to completely uninstall and reinstall AMDTreat. This issue is corrected in AMDTreat release 3.1.

In several instances, the printed reports do not exactly match the screens. This issue is corrected in AMDTreat 3.1.
