A Closer Look at CVC

Over 1000 charities are registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) to receive your donation. With this many charities from which to choose, there is something for everyone. Most charities have unique missions and services in their community. For this reason, we have posted profiles for all the charities in this year's campaign.

You can look up a charity by the specific name, or look at a list of charities that match the criteria you specify. For example, you could look for all charities that work with Hunger, or Youth Services.

To learn more about a charity, click here to view the profiles. Most of the profiles include their website address, which can provide even more information about their services and opportunities to volunteer with that charity.

If you want a closer look at the mission, goals, clients, and financial information for a charity, please go to here.

If you want a closer look at how charities serve their clients and deliver their services, please go here. We will feature new stories each month and will archive previously published stories.

All charities rely on volunteers. If you want to share some of your talents and time with your favorite charity, go to that charity’s profile. Some agencies hold charity fairs during the CVC annual campaign. This is a great opportunity to identify a CVC non-profit that can use your time, talent, and skills to carry out their mission, and speak with charity representatives. You can also go to www.cvc.virginia.gov and click on Donors and then Search for a Charity. Scroll down to the Category section and check the box next to the type of charity with which you want to volunteer. Then click on Search and the charities in CVC that meet that criteria will be displayed. You can narrow your search further by reading their statement of services. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community.
