Mayor’s Note
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Mayor for the citizens of Paris. I would like to thank you for the continued support allowing our community to progress and complete a vast majority of projects. My vision for our community is to look beyond today, into tomorrow, assist with creating industries that will strengthen our economy long term. Paris is rich in resources with our people and infrastructure, which proves to be an asset for future growth for our hometown of Paris and Bourbon County.

The Mayor is elected by the citizens of Paris to act as a representative in all legislative matters. Primary duties include being the presiding officer at commission meetings, executing official documents, enact ordinances, resolutions, municipal orders, appointing administrative personnel and members to the boards, adopt policies and procedures, protect the welfare of the city and its inhabitants, and provide community leadership . The Mayor is elected for a four-year term.
City Commission meetings are held at City Hall located at 525 High Street in the Commission Chambers. Meetings are scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, meetings are open to the public.
