Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Infrastructure
San Bernardino County is a leader in alternative fuel infrastructure and the promotion of clean technology, to clean the air and improve residents’ quality of life. Federal, State, and local funds have been dedicated to build publically accessible, alternative fueling stations in Barstow, San Bernardino, Redlands and many other locations throughout San Bernardino. SANBAG also provides assistance with a variety of Federal, State and Local funding sources, to convert public and private fleets to alternative fuels. Since 1995, SANBAG has been a participant in the Interstate Clean Transportation Corridor (ICTC) network, a consortium of public and private agencies dedicated to linking alternative fueling infrastructure stations throughout the western United States.

This site provides detailed maps and driving instructions for the location of LNG, CNG, EV, and liquefied petroleum gas (propane) throughout California. By entering some simple parameters (such as a zip code or name of a city and the fuel type), commuters can obtain up-to-date information about fueling stations available in that location.

Current Air Quality & Alternative Fuels Projects
The project also includes construction of two natural gas fuelling stations, facility modifications at two additional Ryder locations in Southern California (Cities of Orange and Fontana), deployment of 202 heavy-duty natural gas vehicles. The vehicles include 182 Freightliner M2-112 tractors featuring the Cummins ISL-G engine, in both single-axle and tandem-axel day cab configurations. The order also included 20 Peterbilt 286 tractors, featuring the Cummins Westport GX LNG engine, all in tandem-axle day cab configurations.
