APPLICATION DIRECTIONS

 

Thank you for visiting the Flashing Amber Light Permit application directions. Please read the following directions prior to submitting your application.

 

1.       Select Apply for the Flashing Amber Light Permit.

2.       Complete your Company’s information.

3.       An email address is requested so that permit renewal and program notification can be communicated through email

4.       Select permit period

5.       Choose the permit type:

·         1 to 5 Vehicles

·         6 to 14 Vehicles

·         15 or more Vehicles

Please keep in mind the number of vehicles you may have in the permit period.

6.       Check appropriate box for the purposed use of your Amber Light.

Note: If you check, VEHICLES ENGAGED IN HAZARDOUS ACTVITIES or ALL OTHER, explain the use of the permit. Failure to explain the use of the permit will result in not receiving a permit.

7.       If you selected under the Permit Type section 1 to 5 vehicles, please enter the vehicle #ViN.

8.       Before you submit your application, be sure all information is correct and you meet the criteria for a Flashing Amber Light permit.

9.       Press the Submit Permit button

 

There are no refunds for denied permits or incorrect payments.

 

10.     After submitting the application, please select the payment method.

a.         E-Check – the Amber Light Permit will be ready to print in 72 hours.

b.        Credit Card (MC or Visa only) the Amber Light Permit ready to print in 15 minutes.

11.     Print 1 copy of your Flashing Amber Light Permit Application Receipt; you will need the access code and transaction number to log back into the website and print the Amber Light Permit.

12.     If you checked Other or Vehicle Engaged in Hazardous Activities the following applies;

a.         Your request will be reviewed and approved by NHP staff.

b.        The permit might not be available as stated above.

c.        Print 2 copies of your Flashing Amber Light Permit Application Receipt. Retain one copy for your records and mail the second copy with your check or money order to the following

13.     After 15 days log back into the website at https://nvamberpermit.nv.gov/permit/

 

14.     Select Check Acceptance and Print Permit Validate permit Acceptance

 

15.     Enter the Permit Access Code and Transaction Number from your receipt.

 

16.     If your application is approved print as many copies as you require.

 

17.     If your application is under review log back into the website at a later date.

 

A COPY OF YOUR AMBER LIGHT PERMIT MUST BE KEPT IN YOUR VEHICLES
