FY 2012 Accomplishments
ORS collected over $233 million in FY2012.
Child support collections totaled $200 million. Of that amount, $187 million was distributed to children and families, $12.2 million was distributed to reimburse State and Federal governments for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and $5.8 million was distributed to the Department of Human Services on behalf of Children in the State's care.
Over $26.3 million was collected on behalf of the Department of Health, Medicaid.
Social Security and State Hospital Adult collections totaled $752,000.
Another $3.2 million was collected in fees.
The state’s share of collections totaled over $3.6 million and was returned to the General Fund.
The percentage of child support cases with support orders established was 91%.
Over 97% of support orders contain provisions for health insurance.
Paternity is an unresolved issue in only 4% of all child support cases.
ORS verified insurance coverage on 291,303 Medicaid Recipients, helping to avoid more than $204 million in Medicaid costs.
