RESEARCH
USAMRD-W is dedicated to conducting applied psychological research to protect, optimize, and
enhance Warfighter psychological resilience. Our team conducts an active research program and
collaborates with national and international partners. USAMRD-W maintains expertise in leading
group randomized trials to assess the efficacy of early interventions and resilience training,
conducting command-directed evaluations of behavioral health programs, supporting command-directed
Mental Health Advisory Teams, and conducting blind validation studies of behavioral health assessments.
Our research prioritizes pioneering resilience training development, to include assessing programs designed for implementation in operational units and the Army's professional military training spectrum, and identifying psychological markers and behavioral health strategies predictive of adjustment following combat deployment. Funding for our research program is provided by the Military Operational Medicine Research Program, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (https://momrp.amedd.army.mil/ ).
