Lieutenant Colonel Detrice Mosby
is a native of Washington, DC. She was commissioned at Virginia State University, as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps in 1999. She came on active duty in the United States Army in 2000.
Her military education includes: Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Support Operations Course, Combined Logistics Captain Career Course, Joint Logistics Management Course and the United States Army Command and General Staff College. She holds a Baccalaureate degree in Sociology from St. Paul's College and a Masters of Science in Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Central Michigan University where she was an Honor Graduate.
Her military assignments include: Platoon Leader, Delta Company (Maintenance), 701st Main Support Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Kitzingen, Germany. Other positions in Kitzingen, Germany included Executive Officer, Maintenance Shop Officer and Support Operations Officer. Her next duty station was Camp Humphreys, Korea where she served as the Assistant S3 for 23rd Area Support Group and later as Assistant S1. This was followed by an assignment as an Observer Controller for 3/34 CSS, 158th Infantry Division in Orlando, Florida. Leaving Florida, She then served as the Mobilization Officer for 1st Army Division East out of Fort Meade Maryland, followed by assignment as a Pre-Deployment Site Survey Action Officer in Iraq and then later deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan and served with United States Forces-Afghanistan J4. Upon redeployment, Lt. Col. Mosby served as the Brigade Logistics Support Team Chief for the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Her staff assignments include: National Guard Bureau Logistics Officer / Maintenance Inspector of the 54 States and Territories and Logistics Action Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4.
Her awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal , Army Commendation Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, the NATO Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Guard Minute Man Award and the prestigious Ordnance Samuel Sharpe Award. She has also earned the Army Staff Identification and Parachutist Badge.
