Command Sergeant Major Walton Jones assumed the duties as the JMC Command Sergeant Major on February 11, 2015.
The JM&L; LCMC executes integrated life-cycle management and provides effective, available, and affordable munitions
and lethality to U.S. Military Services.
Headquartered at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill., the Joint Munitions Command operates a nationwide network of
ammunition plants and storage facilities. Joint Munitions Command is the logistics integrator for life-cycle management
of ammunition providing a global presence of technical support to deployed units.
Command Sergeant Major Walton Jones is a native of Hammond, Louisiana.
He enlisted in the Army in July 1989 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Individual
Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
He has held a variety of leadership positions during his career ranging from AIT/BNCOC/ANCOC Instructor,

(with one Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal (7th award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Oversees Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Armed

He is also a member of the Transportation Corps Regimental Association and the National Defense Transportation
Association.
