WCTP Exit Criteria

Based on the Soldier’s Comprehensive Transition Plan (CTP) track preference, medical prognosis, and remaining service obligation after meeting the medical retention determination point (MRDP), Soldiers may exit the Warrior Care and Transition Program (WCTP) by returning to duty, being released from active duty, separation, or retiring from the Army.

Active Component (COMPO 1) and Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Soldiers

Active Component (COMPO 1) and Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Soldiers can return to duty if any of the following criteria are met:

Reserve Component (COMPO 2/3) Soldiers

Reserve Component (COMPO 2/3) Soldiers can be released from active duty (REFRAD) for any one of the following situations:

Separation or Retirement

Soldiers regardless of component can be processed for Separation or Retirement for any one of the following situations:
