About Us

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s (LLNL’s) Office of Strategic Diversity Programs (OSDP) has overall responsibility for managing and implementing the Laboratory's programs and activities in diversity, inclusion, and affirmative action.

Tony Baylis, Director of the Office of Strategic Diversity Programs, is the senior management advocate for diversity and inclusion. He partners with senior management to develop strategies, programs, and activities that promote the creation of a diverse and inclusive workforce and work environment with a focus on continuous improvement. These efforts also include measures to ensure the Laboratory’s compliance with all relevant Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action (AA), and Diversity requirements.

The Laboratory’s ongoing success depends on every member of our diverse workforce having a commitment to excellence in the way we operate as well as in our research programs. Exceptional employees are the key to these achievements and the reason why Lawrence Livermore continues to be an exceptional national laboratory, committed to fostering the unique skills, ideas, and perspectives of staff members at all levels. Our ongoing quest for excellence in these areas will help to ensure that the Laboratory remains worthy of the trust we have been given through our national security mission.
