PdM COUNTER EXPLOSIVE HAZARD

Army explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) falls under the Joint Service EOD arena. EOD technicians from all services train and fight together, a unique quality of EOD. The Army EOD program deals with the Army EOD technician, mission equipment, and any special tools needed to complete a multitude of render safe missions dealing with unexploded ordnances (UXOs), improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other explosive hazards. The program has increased tenfold since 2003 due to mission growth and the continual, adaptive asymmetric threats faced by U.S. Forces around the globe.
