Bangalore Torpedo

This man-portable device is used to clear a path for dismounted infantry or engineer troops through barbed wire entanglements or anti-personnel/anti-tank (AP/AT) minefields. Dating back to World War II, the Bangalore Torpedo consists of eight 2.5-foot sections that are connected in order to push through the obstacle before detonation. A blasting cap initiates detonation.
