2011, May 24-26, Annual NGOM Project Science Meeting, USGS National Wetlands Research Center in Lafayette, LA. The theme of this year's annual project meeting is "Staging the Delivery of NGOM Project Scientific Findings, Maps, and Geospatial Data."

2010

2010, March 29-31, Annual NGOM Project Science Meeting, St Petersburg, FL. Goals: 1) present updates on project-related scientific progress and deliverables, 2) plan and coordinate summer 2010 field activities, 3) identify what is/is not working well and plan any needed course corrections, and 4) review our strategies for new partnership development.

2009

2009, March 24-26, Annual NGOM Project Science Meeting, New Orleans, LA. Goals: 1) present updates on project-related scientific progress and deliverables, 2) plan and coordinate summer 2009 field activities, 3) identify what is/is not working well and plan any needed course corrections, and 4) review our strategies for new partnership development.
2009, March 17-18, NGOM Land Cover Mapping and Change Analysis (LCMCA) Workshop, Reston, VA. Objective: To improve methods linkages, and better define and internally reinforce science plans for activities of the NGOM project are involved in the mapping of land cover and in the analysis of land cover change.

2008, October 20-23, Combined USGS Gulf Coast Science Conference & FISC Science Meeting, Orlando, Florida.
2008, February 28-29, NGOM Annual Science Meeting - 2008, St. Petersburg, Florida.
2008, February 12-15, Workshop - Airborne Lidar Processing System (ALPS), St. Petersburg, Florida.

2007

2007, November 14-16. Northern Gulf of Mexico - Land Cover Characterization Workshop New Orleans, Louisiana.
2007, June 20-21. USGS hosts Airborne-Lidar Technology and Applications Workshop in Louisiana. Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge. The U.S. Geological Survey  hosted a workshop on airborne lidar (light detection and ranging). The primary objective was to educate attendees on airborne-lidar technology and its potential applications in the northern Gulf of Mexico region.
2007, April 05-06. USGS Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS), Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Goal: EROS overview and collaboration.
2007, January 24-26. Northern Gulf of Mexico Project Meeting, New Orleans, Louisiana. Goals: 1) review, reach consensus on, and adopt the broad project plan, 2) initiate project scientific work, 3) plan and coordinate the project summer 2007 field activities in Northern Gulf of Mexico region.
