Cooperative Agreement (CA)

Cooperative Agreement (CA)

A Cooperative Agreement formed between a federal lab and an industry partner is used to provide funding or assets to support or stimulate research. These agreements are similar to CRADAs, except the government can provide direct funding to the participant. Typically, CAs are collaborative efforts with substantial involvement by both parties. They require cost-sharing and shared performance responsibilities.
