Data Products ›› Data Product Access ›› National Map LANDFIRE

This interactive, Internet-based tool enables the user to view, query, and download LANDFIRE data based on an area of interest without the need for GIS software. If you are unfamiliar with LANDFIRE data, this is an ideal way to explore and learn more. The National Map LANDFIRE is also a good tool for downloading relatively small seamless data sets if you have high-speed network access. Be sure to click on "View User Instructions" for information on how to navigate the site.

Updated products will be incorporated into a new base map of LANDFIRE data products for the nation. These products will be served as separate layers along with the original layers on the USGS National Map LANDFIRE. The original LANDFIRE National data products will be maintained to provide for comparison applications.

Products resulting from the Rapid Refresh will be placed next to the current LANDFIRE National products (please visit the About LANDFIRE ›› Updating Products of this website for details on the various project phases and resulting products). For example, under the section of products titled "LANDFIRE National Fire Behavior" the LANDFIRE National 13 Anderson Fire Behavior Fuel Models will remain, but the Rapid Refresh 13 Anderson Fire Behavior Fuel Models will be added to the list as well.
