Academics

In addition to career training, Charleston Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.

High School Equivalency

One of our top goals at Charleston Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her high school equivalency prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Charleston are automatically enrolled into our high school equivalency program. Students who complete this program's core classes may participate in an online high school equivalency program which is paid for by the center.

College Program

We offer our students opportunities for college education through Bridge Valley Community & Technical College.
