Wind Leasing

Nebraska lags behind many states in developing renewable energy.  Although the State is ranked in the top five states in wind capacity, it is ranked in the twenties in wind development. 

However, the situation is improving.   In the last few years the Nebraska Legislature has passed several important renewable energy bills.  These bills make our State more attractive to outside wind investment and have allowed our Board to participate in major wind development projects on several thousand acres. 

We welcome wind inquiries, and will continue to be receptive to further development of wind facilities on our properties.
