Background

FACSFAC is the scheduling and coordination agency for air, surface, and subsurface activity in the California offshore ranges and operations airspace off the coasts of San Diego and San Francisco.  We are the largest of the three primary FACSFAC units in the country. The primary mission of FACSFAC is to provide the scheduling, coordination and control necessary for the complex naval operations of today.  Subsurface, surface and air operations are being conducted daily in the Southern California offshore operating area, the most congested area of Naval operations in the world.
