The members of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment (HHD) Family Readiness Group (FRG) welcome you to First Army and the Rock Island Community.
Our mission is to act as an extension of the First Army Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment (HHD) by providing support for all First Army Soldiers, Civilians and their Families. The FRG is here to provide mutual support between the Families and the Rock Island Community. We invite all Soldiers, Civilians and their Families to participate in FRG events.
Our goals are to:
- Build Soldier and Family cohesion and morale
- Reduce Soldier and Family stress
- Help Families become more self sufficient
- Provide an avenue for sharing timely and accurate information
- Promote better use of post and community services
Families are invited to attend FRG meetings and events with no obligation to the HHD FRG. Meetings and events provide an opportunity for family members to find out about community events, and meet HHD FRG members. The HHD FRG is active year round with family activities and training. Informational flyers are distributed via email in advance to FRG meeting and events. We also plan various fundraising events and invite all families to volunteer and participate. The FRG recognizes the value of volunteers through the ACS and First Army volunteer recognition program.
The HHD FRG Steering Committee meets on a monthly basis to plan and coordinate family events and training. Participation in the HHD FRG as well as the Steering Committee meetings is always welcome.
