Command Sergeant Major Albert H. Harris

Command Sergeant Major Harris completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Command Sergeant Major Harris has served in various leadership and operations positions including Team Leader, Squad Leader, Senior Company Line Medic, Combat Medic Section NCOIC, Emergency Department NCOIC, Brigade Medical Operations NCOIC, First Sergeant and as the Command Surgeon Sergeant Major for 1st Army.

His stateside assignments include: Bravo Company, 261st Area Support Medical Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia; U.S. Army Recruiter in Redding, California; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) Fort Campbell, KY; Charlie Company 526th Brigade Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and HQ 1st Army, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. His overseas assignments include: Charlie Company, 2nd Forward Support Battalion, Camp Hovey, Korea and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-2 Infantry Battalion (Mech), Vilseck, Germany. He has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan (2) and Kosovo for combat and peacekeeping operations.

Command Sergeant Major Harris’ military education includes all required Non-Commissioned Officer Education System schools, Recruiter School, the Master Resiliency Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, the Army Safety Officer Course, the Advisor Academy at Fort Polk, Louisiana and is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy class 65..

His awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal (3rd award), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (7th award), Army Achievement Medal (8th award), Combat Medical Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Air Assault Badge, German Schutzenschnur, Gold Recruiter Badge (3 Sapphires), Gold Recruiter Ring, Presidential Unit Citation (2nd award), Valorous Unit Award, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Navy Unit Citation and is a member of both the Glenn E.
