Renewal Information

All Nebraska geologist licenses expire on December 31st each year. Renewals are due no later than December 31st in order to avoid late fees. Notices are sent out by the board office by October 1st.

Please note:

  • If your renewal is not received by December 31st, a late fee of $7.50 per month is added to your renewal fee.
  • If your license was issued after the renewal notices were mailed out, you will need to renew by mail. A renewal form was included in your licensing packet.
  • This is the only time durin gthe year you may choose to select Emeritus status. By selecting Emeritus, you will no longer be authorized to practice geology in Nebraska after December 31st.
  • If your license has expired for more than one year, you will be required to submit a new application with the appropriate application fee to have your license reinstated. You will be required to meet the current licensing requirements effective at that time.
