LANDFIRE (LF) Vegetation Transition Magnitude data are available

Background:

Vegetation Transition Magnitude (VTM) data are available on the LF Data Distribution Site. VTM represents the relative magnitude of change applied to a pixel during the LF vegetation update process. This layer provides information regarding disturbance type and the resulting impact on vegetation life-form or tree canopy cover. Also, the supporting tables that are used to inform VTM data are made available:

Forest Vegetation Simulator Ready Database (FVSRDB) - FVS analysis ready plot data (StandInit and TreeInit tables)
Forest Vegetation Transitions Database (FVTDB) - vegetation transition rules in tabular format
Non-forest Vegetation Transitions Database (NFVTDB) - nationwide non-forest vegetation transition information and tools to summarize and sort several disturbance types
Forest Vegetation Simulator Disturbance Database (FVSDDB) - FVS analysis outputs at high/moderate/low severity for fire, insect and disease, wind and mechanical disturbances
